Terms of Service

1. These terms

These terms apply when you use QuiC, the workplace messaging, calling, meetings and AI assistant service (the “Service”) provided by AeonX Digital Technology Limited (“AeonX”, “we”, “us”) through the QuiC apps and quic.chat.

QuiC is provided by AeonX Digital Technology Limited. The QuiC apps are published on the App Store, Google Play and for macOS by its wholly owned subsidiary, AeonX Digital Solutions Pvt. Ltd.

You accept them by choosing “Agree and Continue” or by using the Service. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data and forms part of these terms.

QuiC is provided to organisations. If your organisation has its own agreement with AeonX (an order form, enterprise agreement or a marketplace purchase), that agreement governs the relationship between AeonX and the organisation and wins over these terms if they conflict.

2. Who can use QuiC

You can use QuiC if your organisation has given you access, or if you are setting up QuiC for an organisation you are authorised to act for. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement. If you accept these terms for an organisation, you confirm you have authority to do so.

3. Your account and your organisation

Your account belongs to your organisation’s workspace. Its administrators can add and remove members, apply policies (for example screenshot protection, recording and AI settings, or a maximum sign-in period), suspend accounts and see the information described in the Privacy Policy. If you leave the organisation, it can remove your access.

Keep your devices, sign-in codes and two-step verification PIN to yourself, and tell your administrator or us quickly if you think someone else has used your account. You are responsible for what happens on your account unless it was used without your permission despite reasonable care.

4. Using QuiC responsibly

Do not use QuiC to:

• break the law or help someone else to;
• harass, threaten, defame or discriminate against anyone;
• share material that sexualises or endangers children, or that promotes violence;
• infringe someone’s intellectual property or privacy, or share personal data you have no right to share;
• send spam, malware or deceptive links, or impersonate a person or organisation;
• get into accounts, conversations or systems you are not permitted to use;
• test, overload, scrape, copy or reverse engineer the Service, or work around its limits or security, except where the law allows this despite these terms;
• build a competing product from QuiC or its documentation.

We may remove access to content or suspend accounts when we reasonably believe these rules have been broken or the law requires it. Where we can, we will tell your organisation and explain why.

5. Your content

What you send through QuiC stays yours (or your organisation’s). You allow AeonX to store, process and transmit it only as needed to run the Service for you, the people you communicate with and your organisation, and for the other purposes in the Privacy Policy. That permission ends when the content is deleted, apart from copies that others already received and backups that age out.

You are responsible for what you send and for having the right to send it. We do not check content in end-to-end encrypted conversations and cannot see it there; the Privacy Policy explains what end-to-end encryption covers and the exceptions, such as business chats and content you send to QuiC AI.

6. QuiC AI

QuiC AI uses models from a third-party provider (currently Anthropic). When you use it, the text involved is sent to that provider to produce a response, as described in the Privacy Policy. In-chat AI runs only when you ask for it, and your organisation can turn it off.

AI responses can be wrong, incomplete or out of date. Check them before you rely on them or pass them on, and do not treat them as professional advice. Nothing the assistant suggests is sent on your behalf without your action. You must not use QuiC AI to produce content that breaks these terms.

7. Calls, meetings and recordings

Calls on current QuiC apps are end-to-end encrypted. Each meeting is either end-to-end encrypted, in which case it cannot be recorded, or set up for recording and AI notes, in which case it is encrypted in transit and at rest but not end-to-end. The Privacy Policy has the details, including calls from older apps.

If you record a meeting, you are responsible for having any consent the law requires from the people in it. QuiC tells participants when recording is on. Meeting hosts decide whom to admit, including guests from outside the organisation.

QuiC is not a replacement for phone service and cannot be used to call emergency services.

8. Availability and changes to the Service

We work to keep QuiC available and secure, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free; maintenance, updates, network problems and events outside our control can affect it. We regularly add, change and retire features. Older app versions may stop working with the Service, and some features (such as end-to-end encrypted calls) need a current version. Service levels, if any, are set in your organisation’s agreement.

9. Fees

Charges are agreed with your organisation, directly or through a marketplace such as AWS Marketplace, and may depend on seats and usage, including AI usage. AeonX does not charge individual members. A trial may end or convert as described when it starts.

10. Our intellectual property

QuiC, including its software, design, documentation and the QuiC and AeonX names and logos, belongs to AeonX or its licensors. We give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your organisation’s purposes while these terms apply. If you send us feedback, we may use it without owing you anything.

11. Other services

QuiC relies on providers listed in the Privacy Policy and can link to or connect with services we do not run (for example app stores, GIF search or your organisation’s business systems). Their terms govern your use of them, and we are not responsible for them.

12. Ending your use

You can stop using QuiC at any time and delete your account in the app (Settings → Delete account) or as described on Delete your account. Your organisation can also remove you.

We may suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if the law requires it, to protect other users or the Service, or if your organisation’s agreement ends. Sections that by their nature should continue (such as content ownership, disclaimers, liability and governing law) survive.

13. Disclaimers and liability

As far as the law allows, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, and AeonX gives no promises beyond those in these terms or your organisation’s agreement, including implied promises about fitness for a particular purpose.

As far as the law allows, AeonX is not liable to you for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, goodwill or data, arising from your use of QuiC. Nothing here limits liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or your rights as a consumer where those apply. Where your organisation has an agreement with AeonX, its liability terms govern claims between AeonX and the organisation.

14. Governing law and disputes

Indian law governs these terms. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a problem informally. If we cannot, the courts of Mumbai, Maharashtra, India have jurisdiction, without taking away any mandatory right you have to bring a claim where you live.

15. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. Each version has an identifier and effective date shown at the top. For a change that matters, we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect and ask you to agree again; if you do not agree, you can stop using QuiC and delete your account.
