Build on QuiC
Let your business talk to people on QuiC — order updates, appointment reminders, support conversations — through a REST API and signed webhooks. People choose which businesses can message them, and can stop them at any time.
- Get startedA sandbox app sending its first message in about 10 minutes.
- Send messagesText and media to people who opted in, with idempotent retries.
- Receive eventsReplies, delivery and read receipts, consent changes — signed.
- Consent rulesNo opt-in, no message. The one rule nothing bypasses.
- Keys & scopesSandbox and live keys, scopes, and keeping them secret.
How it works#
- An owner or admin of your QuiC organization creates an app in the developer console. The app gets a business identity people see in their chat list: a name, a handle (
quic.chat/b/your-handle) and a “Business” badge. - Your server calls
https://api.quic.chat/platform/v1with an API key to send messages, and receives replies and receipts on a webhook you register. - Each person has a separate, stable
appUserIdfor your app. You never see their email or phone number, and ids can't be matched across apps.
Access levels#
Every app starts in sandbox and moves up with approval:
- Sandbox — message up to 10 testers who accepted your invite. Sandbox keys only.
- Internal live — message opted-in people in your own organization, after an org admin approves.
- Public live — message opted-in people in any organization that allows businesses. Needs approval and a verified business (domain proof plus a QuiC review), which earns the “Verified business” badge.
Pricing#
Free during the preview. Usage is metered per app so you can see it in the console, and rate limits and daily quotas apply. We'll give notice before any pricing starts.
